Data Dao needed a brand identity that communicated their enthusiasm for data and ambition to transform the conventional and mundane image often associated with the industry. Their goal is to inject vitality into the sector and introduce a more dynamic and vibrant approach, breaking up with the stereotypical image of consultants.

The concept

Data Dao's name says it: Dao – the way, the path. Data isn't just numbers. It's direction. It shows you where to go next.The concept builds on this: data as pathfinding. Not static points, but flow. The visual system reflects this – paths that emerge from data, lines that guide, movement that turns insight into action. 'The way of data' isn't metaphor. It's how the brand works.

Visual identity & brand expression

The logo flows like a path – dots connect, lines bend, momentum builds. It's not grid-locked or static. It moves the way data should: forward.Lines become the system's backbone. Subtle, directional, always leading somewhere. Combined with vibrant colour and dynamic layouts, the identity feels alive – not the usual blue-grey corporate monotony. This is data work that actually looks like it's going somewhere.
